Unit- 4. The Tipping Point. What is Tipping Point ? Tipping Points are important moments for a person or a country. It's an important change in someone life or in a country. Some important Tipping Poinnts in Dominican Society are: 1: Feb-27-1844 = Independence day. 2: Mayo-30-1961 = Trujillo's death. 3: November-25-1960 = Mirabal's sister were assassinated. 4: 1966 = Balaguer became predident. 5: Metro is a Tipping Point in transportation 6: Tanda extendiada is a Tipping Point for Dominicans.

Unit-3. The Bold and The Bashful

 Unit 3: The Bold and The Bashful. Vocabulary : Meaning 1: Bold = Extroverty, talkative, outgoing. 2:  Bashful=  Timy, shy. 3:  Aloof = Distant, unfriendly, antisocial. 4: Reticent = a person who is afraid to talk, reserved, quite. 5: Handicap = Disavantage, obstacle. 6: Condescending = Treating others as inferiors. 7: Misatributions = False assumptions. 8: Phobia = Very strong fear, terror, fear. 9: Adverse = Negative, opposed, negative situations. 10:  Virtually = Almost, nearly, close to. 11: Breake the ice = get people socializing. 12: Grouchy = in a bad mood, irritable, bad-tempered, morose. 13:  Gloomy = Melancholic. 14: Pollyanna = Optimiste person, Cheerful. 15: Gregarious = Social person, outgoing, friendly.

Unit 2 Vocabulary

 Conceal: nowadays people like to conceal the truth and prefer to lie. Mislead: the Dominican government likes to mislead people. Pervasive: moving into or through everywhere or everything. Trivial: small and not important. Put one over: to trick someone. Relentless: never stopping or getting any less extreme. Veneer: a way of behaving that is not sincere and hides someone's real character of emotion. Finely honed: the students finely honed their writing and reading during the semester. I wind up before go to travel to New York. Erosion: there is an erosion among my classmates for telling the truth. Break the ice: I want break the ice speaking in front of people. Think of: every day think of positive about people.
